A 'Greener' Home Topic Of Special Simsbury Forum

The town and the Simsbury Sustainability Committee are hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, on home energy efficiency options.

SIMSBURY, CT — Residents are invited to a special forum early next week that could put them on a path to improved sustainability and energy efficiency at home.

The Town of Simsbury and the Simsbury Sustainability Committee are hosting a presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Simsbury Public Library about state and federal incentives and tips toward that end.

It will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the library, which is located at 725 Hopmeadow St.

The forum will address buying and installing solar and/or battery storage systems in residents' homes.

"Residential solar and energy storage at the local level can help 'green the grid,'" wrote event organizers in an announcement.

This meeting will be held in the Tariffville Room.
