Gun-Wielding Man Follows Motorist To Simsbury Home: Police
The road rage incident Tuesday culminated when the suspect brandished a gun at the Simsbury resident's home, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — A 35-year-old man has been charged after local police said he followed a motorist to his Simsbury home and threatened the victim with a gun in a road rage incident.
The Simsbury Police Department said Jason Thorgalsen, 35, was charged with second-degree threatening; second-degree breach of peace; and illegal operation of a motor vehicle with intent to harass and intimidate.
Police said the incident happened on Tuesday, Jan. 14, when officers were called to the area of Stratton Brook Road near Farmstead Lane for what was termed a "motor vehicle complaint."

While police were en route, they were notified the operator of one of the vehicles followed another operator to their home on Country Club Drive, police said, and threatened them with a gun.
Police urge that anyone who is a victim of road rage intimidation should call the police.

"The SPD investigates allegations of road rage seriously due to the fact that they are dangerous and illegal," wrote SPD spokesman Lt. Bradford Chase in a release.
