
Simsbury Residents Step Up To Re-Elect State Representative Hampton
After raising the qualifying contributions from a wide array of Democrat, Republican & Unaffiliated residents,
State Representative John K. Hampton has received a campaign grant from the Citizens’ Election Program.
“It has been my great honor and privilege to represent the good people of my lifelong hometown and I look forward to continuing to be a strong voice for Simsbury at the State Capitol – standing up for seniors, veterans and families while bringing common sense and responsibility to the state budgeting process,”
Hampton said. “I am humbled by the groundswell of support from residents all across my district as I seek to continue to represent them in Hartford.”

To qualify for the Citizens’ Election Program, a candidate for State Representative must raise $5,000 in small contributions of $5.00 to $250.00 from at least 150 residents of the district.
“I have always been a strong supporter of CEP,” Hampton said, “as the best way to keep corruption out of politics and to encourage citizen participation in the political and electoral process. I am gratified by the grassroots support Simsbury residents have shown for my re-election campaign.”
