Hearing Tonight On Simsbury's Development Plan
The 10-year document by the planning commission outlines what Simsbury desires in terms of development in town.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Planning Commission has been working for the last year on updating Simsbury’s plan of conservation and development (POCD).
A special public hearing on that plan is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 24.

It will take place Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Simsbury Public Library's Lower Level Meeting Room, 725 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.
The POCD is a town's plan that serves as a blueprint for municipal land-use boards when it comes to approving or shooting down projects.

It basically states what should go where and what is, essentially, desired in town.
The proposed 2023 ̶33 Plan will be the subject of a public hearing to consider adoption.
The hearing will provide an opportunity for Simsbury residents to provide comments on the
proposed plan and the policies and action steps recommended.
The proposed Plan, dated Aug. 11, 2023, may be found on the town’s website at www.simsbury-ct.gov.
Following the public hearing, the commission will review community input and then
revisit the POCD for possible changes.
