Helicopters to Be Checking Vegetation

Eversource Energy is aerially inspecting its transmission lines.

Eversource Energy will be performing aerial patrols on transmission lines in 29 Connecticut towns, including Granby and East Granby, today and Friday, as well as Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 14-16.

The purpose of the helicopter flyovers is to inspect vegetation on the transmission lines.

Two helicopters, one blue and gray and the other blue and white, will be conducting the inspections from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting, in the towns of Bloomfield, Brooklyn, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Farmington, Granby, Hampton, Killingly, Lebanon, Manchester, Mansfield, New Britain, Newington, Pomfret, Putnam, Salisbury, Sharon, Simsbury, Somers, South Windsor, Suffield, Thompson and Windsor.
