Hope On The Hill Run to Raise Money for Cancer Research

The public is invited to participate in an April 22 Hope On The Hill run at Westminster School to raise money for cancer research.

The Westminster School student group Serving our Neighbors (SON) will hold its first Hope On The Hill 5K trail run, walk and kid’s fun run to raise money for pediatric cancer research April 22 beginning at 10 a.m. on the school’s campus in Simsbury. Participants can run individually or as members of a team. On-site race registration will begin at 9 a.m.

The event will include food vendors and musical entertainment. Registration information and more details about the run can be found at hopeonthehillct.org/.

All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. And while fundraising is a vital part of the run, another goal is to inform as many young adults as possible about the importance of cancer screening and prevention.
