Human Trafficking In CT To Be Discussed In Simsbury
A Connecticut-based organization fighting human trafficking will host a forum Thursday at the Simsbury Public Library.
SIMSBURY, CT — The horrors of human trafficking are not limited to faraway places and Third World conditions.
They can happen right here in Connecticut.
A program later this week in Simsbury will take a look at this societal blight, with members of communities in and around the town invited to attend.

What is being called a "Community Awareness Forum on Human Trafficking in Connecticut" will take place Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Simsbury Public Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The library is located at 725 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

It is being hosted by "The Underground New England," a faith-based organization dedicated to exposing the issue of human trafficking in Connecticut and New England. It is based out of Bloomfield.
In addition, the program is co-sponsored by the Farmington Valley Visiting Nurses Association and Simsbury Social Services' Youth Services Bureau.
