Iconic Folk Rock Duo To Perform At Simsbury Meadows
Tickets are on sale now for the show, which will take place over the summer at the soon-to-be renovated concert venue.
SIMSBURY, CT — Tickets are on sale now for an iconic folk-rock duo from the late 1980s and early 1990s that will be playing in Simsbury this summer.
The Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center last week announced that Indigo Girls will be at the outdoor concert venue at Iron Horse Boulevard on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Simsbury Meadows said concert goers will be able to "celebrate music, community, and an exciting new chapter at our expanded venue."

"The Grammy-winning duo of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray began their career in clubs and bars around their native Atlanta, GA, amidst a blossoming alternative music scene before signing to Epic Records in 1988," reads the biography of Indigo Girls on the duo's website.
The duo reached stardom with their 1989 song "Closer to Fine," along with other hits like "Galileo" in 1992.
