Less Stressed, Less Depressed, Less in Pain: the Power of Mindfulness

Learn to improve your emotional and physical health through the technique of mindfulness.

Wednesday, July 20, 6:30-8:00 pm, Simsbury Public Library Program Room

Stephen Cuddy teaches a workshop on mindfulness, a mental state achieved by focusing awareness on the present moment while calmly acknowledging and accepting feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations. Certified in several areas by the National Association of Mental Illness, Cuddy works with veterans and others at Pratt & Whitney and with other groups in the region to promote healthy lifestyle habits. This program, which is co-sponsored by Simsbury Public Library and the Simsbury Senior Center, will be held in the Library Program. Register at the Senior Center at 860-658-3273. Free and open to all.
