LETTER: Eric Wellman Is the Man to Lead Simsbury

Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

We have lived in Simsbury since 1978, and are very excited to report that our son-in-law, Eric S. Wellman, has been nominated by our town’s Democratic Committee to run for First Selectman!

Eric is married to our daughter, Rachel, who grew up in Simsbury. We think very highly of Eric, and are 100 percent in favor of him being our First Selectman. He is an intelligent, hard-working, compassionate person, who has a strong desire to lead Simsbury through what promises to be challenging, but potentially rewarding, times ahead. We believe that Eric is a fine candidate to provide leadership during these times.

We encourage everyone to visit Eric’s website, www.Eric4ct.com. The website includes information about Eric, statements of his philosophy and plans, and ways to help him.

We are hoping that many who read this letter will support Eric Wellman in his campaign, and vote for him in the upcoming election, on Tuesday, November 7. Beyond that, we encourage all residents to be active in the election process, and become familiar with the issues that impact our beautiful town of Simsbury.
