Library Donors Celebrated At An Appreciation Dinner
Generous donors of the Simsbury Public Library Friends Organization are celebrated at Dinner by Chef of Metro Bis
The Friends of the Simsbury Public Library (FSPL) recently held a special event to thank a group of generous donors who have given funds to the annual membership drive. Members at the top giving levels, including ‘Investor Angels’ and ‘Publishers’, enjoyed a meal prepared by Chris Prosperi, the Metro Bis chef.
Chris entertained the group and prepared a 3-course dinner on the Charlie Cart, which was purchased from funds donated by the ‘Investor Angels’. The cart can be moved to almost any setting, and is equipped with an oven/microwave, sink, hot plate and numerous cooking utensils.
The Charlie Cart is used for various cooking demonstrations and classes at the SPL. About 30 guests, librarians and FSPL board members attended. Members from the FSPL provide services and programs for all ages. The group also supports the Simsbury Public Library by funding and volunteers for projects throughout the year.
