Local Author to Host Workshop for Aspiring Writers

Learn how to get your manuscript published!

On Thursday, November 30th at 7:00pm, the Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury will host popular local author Carrie Firestone as she presents “The Road to Publication,” an informative workshop for aspiring authors about how to have work published.

Carrie is the author of the young adult novels “The Loose Ends List” and “The Unlikelies.” She will use her own experience finding an agent and pitching her manuscripts to inform her talk, and will also discuss the craft of writing, overcoming writer’s block, and polishing work. The cost is $25 and participants are encouraged to bring paper & pencil.

Located at 750 Hopmeadow Street, The Storyteller’s Cottage features a wide variety of literary events and adventures, including book clubs, writing classes, storytelling workshops, author events, vintage literary-themed parties, and unique mystery room games.
