Looking for Some Summer Fun for Your Child in Simsbury?

Are you wondering what to do with your children this summer? Do you want them outdoors, enjoying the beautiful weather, instead of inside, in front of a screen? Are you looking for something new and fun for your child to try? If you answered, yes, to any of these questions then we have something fun for your child to do.

Simsbury Crew will be holding its Annual Simsbury Crew Summer Camp beginning on July 10th. The camps will run for 1-2 week sessions. Simsbury Crew Varsity Girl’s Head Coach, Ann Carabillo, and her staff will be running these camps.

The Middle School Camp is for students entering grades 7 and 8. This camp is intended to introduce the students to rowing. Students will learn the basics of rowing and the language used in the sport. No prior experience is needed.

For high schoolers, there is an option of two camps. High School Sculling Camp is for students entering grades 10-12, who have prior rowing experience. These students will learn sculling techniques and have the exciting opportunity to row singles on the Farmington River.

The other camp for high schoolers, entering grades 10-12, is High School Technique and Conditioning Camp. This camp focuses on the more technical concepts of rowing. Students will get the opportunity to row on the rowing machines and on the water.
