Major Water Main Project To Get Underway In Simsbury
A water main overhaul is expected to take months to complete and impact local traffic.

SIMSBURY, CT — A major water main overhaul will begin in Simsbury Monday, a project that might create some traffic impacts on several local roadways.
Aquarion Water Company will be initiating a water main replacement project on Hoskins Road, Firetown Road, Clifdon Drive, Katherine Lane, Short Lane, Tower Drive and Scarborough Road.

This project is expected to begin Monday, July 10, and it is anticipated to be completed in the fall.
The project, which will replace approximately 8,766 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system.

Aquarion representatives have indicated they will work closely with residents to minimize any disruptions.
Due to construction, residents should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Mizzy Construction, Inc. of Plainville will be serving as the contractor for the water main replacement project.
