Major Water Main Project To Start In Simsbury
Work is expected to start Monday, May 6, and the water main replacement project will impact six Simsbury roadways through October.

SIMSBURY, CT — Motorists and residents on six local roadways will be impacted by a massive project that starts Monday, May 6,
Aquarion Water Co. is replacing water mains on Red Stone Drive, Andrew Drive, Harriet Lane, Top View Drive, Hilltop Drive, and Butternut Lane.

Local officials said the project should be done by October 2024.
According to the Simsbury Public Works Department, this project will replace approximately 12,450 feet of water main.

It is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system.
Aquarion representatives have indicated they will work closely with residents and businesses to minimize any disruptions.
Due to construction, residents should expect "minor traffic delays" and possible detours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
M Rondano, Inc. of Norwalk will be serving as the contractor for the water main replacement project, according to the DPW.
Aquarion utilizes an Everbridge notification system to call affected customers in order to update those impacted on the project.
