Simsbury Man, 19, Killed In Motorcycle-Car Crash: State Police

A 19-year-old man was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car in New Hartford on Sunday afternoon, state police said.

NEW HARTFORD, CT — A man was killed in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in New Hartford on Sunday, according to state police.

A 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring was driving eastbound on Roue 202 at 4:25 p.m. The car was making a left turn onto Route 219 when a 2008 Kawasaki Zx 1000-e struck the rear of the car.

The car's driver reported no injuries but was taken by ambulance to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for evaluation. The car's passenger wasn't injured and declined medical treatment.

The motorcyclist, Ausencio Vidriesca, 19, of Weatogue, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, state police said.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
