I am honored to serve our Town and proud to run for re-election as Simsbury's First Selectman. I ask for your vote so we can continue to make Simsbury a great place to live and work.
The job of First Selectman is an important one and the next two years are critical to Simsbury's future. As an attorney, I understand the complex legal issues facing our town and will continue to work hard to control town costs. As an advocate, I will continue to work with state officials to remove burdensome mandates and attract millions of dollars in grant funding for our town and schools. As the town's chief executive officer, I will continue to work closely with our emergency responders and volunteers to protect the public health and safety of our residents. Working together, we have accomplished much for our community. But our ongoing partnerships with The Hartford and our business community present exciting opportunities for our future.

Simsbury is better than ever - receiving the highest town Aaa financial rating, voted the Best Town for families and schools and recognized for historic charm, beauty and recreational opportunities. We lead the way in the Hartford region and in Connecticut for our proactive approach to land use planning which has led to more than $17 million in new investments. Projects like Dorset Crossing, Special Needs housing for persons with Multiple Sclerosis and mixed use development at Millright's Restaurant will bring new revenue to ease Simsbury's tax base.

I am excited by the team joining me on the ballot for November's election. Simsbury has been well served by Board of Selectmen candidates Deputy First Selectman Lisa Heavner and Selectman Shannon Knall. Both have a record of hard work and getting the job done. Economic Development Commissioner Jay Devivo will bring his business and investment experience to the important issues facing our Town.
Over the next several weeks, I look forward to having you learn more about the dedicated men and women on our team who are eager to work hard for you.
I want to hear from you! If you would like to volunteer, please contact me at 860-651-4626.
Sincerely,
Mary A. Glassman
