Massive Motorcycle, Car Cruises To Clog Simsbury Roadways: Police
Local officials are asking motorists to be patient during a weekend of motorcycle, car cruises aimed at raising money for Special Olympics.
SIMSBURY, CT — A fundraising event for Connecticut Special Olympics promises to deliver amazing visuals on local roadways courtesy of two massive cruises this weekend (one for cars, one for motorcycles).
But it also will create traffic disruptions in town.
As a result, the Town of Simsbury is urging motorists to be patient during "The Dream Ride Experience" events Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27.

But on Saturday and Sunday, the festivities will exit Farmington and go onto area roadways as 300 classic cars and 1,800 motorcycle riders are expected for two separate "Dream Ride" cruises.
