MLKinCT Memorial Project Presents at Old State House

Three Simsbury High School students went to the Old State House Wednesday to take part in a program on preserving African-American history and CT’s Freedom Trail. They spoke about their work revolving around Martin Luther King, Jr’s time in Simsbury, and their efforts to create a memorial to him. Once built, the memorial will offer educational programming focused on racial equality and social justice, along with linkages to education related to the CT Freedom Trail. The students received a big round of applause from the audience. The entire program will be on CT-N this weekend. Watch this program by visiting www.ct-n.com.  Select” On Demand” from the” Watch CT-N” menu and search for “Old State House”.
