To the Voters of Simsbury:
I am thrilled that Nancy Haase is running for First Selectman this fall. In the many years I have known Nancy, I have been truly impressed with her ability to identify the task at hand, create an action plan, and then follow through and get the job done. Simsbury is at a crossroads in so many ways. We will be lucky to have her talents at the helm steering us through unsettled waters.
Nancy is a marketing account executive who has a vision for our great town. She has, and will, work across the aisle to bring the leadership needed to create and execute a real long-term plan for Simsbury. In her time as a board member of the Main Street Partnership and Economic Development Commission, Nancy continually reached out to our existing businesses, our residents and most importantly potential and future businesses. This will be critical to fill the empty properties and start to balance our tax base. Nancy also recognizes that to keep Simsbury a great place for all residents – young and old, we must attract responsible businesses that will be in keeping with our town’s great character.
Nancy has always put “people over politics.” But for her, it is not just a slogan. It is how she does business. Nancy is respected as a consensus builder who has dedicated her time to support our schools, strengthen our business community and protect and enhance the rich history and assets of our town. I ask you to join me in voting for Nancy Haase in November for our new First Selectman.
Sincerely,
Nan Schultz
