Night of 1,000 Stars

A celebration of libraries, reading and creativity.

The 's 'Night of 1,000 Stars,' now in its 13th year, was held last night. It is an event that promotes reading and so much more.

Each “Star” (a local Simsbury celebrity) spent two minutes introducing the piece they read from, and then performed a three-minute excerpt from the material.

A musical prelude was performed by the senior choir the  Intonations, directed by Greg Babal. Emcess for the evening were Warren Boyle and Bryan DeVoe. Nancy Bugbee was the event chair. Nine 'Stars' read: Martin Geitz, Steve Rushin, Tara Willerup, Jeff Blumenthal, Bill Hildebrandt, Eshani Agrawal, Monica Katzen, Rich Curtiss and Karen Sidel.
