- Inspired to excel, 897 members of the Class of 2019 were awarded a Bryant University degree at the 156th Commencement ceremony on May 18, 2019. These accomplished graduates join a powerful network of more than 50,000 alumni around the world who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their organizations and communities. Cameron Ballard of Simsbury graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Marketing. Adriana Deacon of Simsbury graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance. Zachary Graham of Weatogue graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- More than 1,250 Eastern Connecticut State University students received their diplomas in the 2018-19 academic year. Eastern's commencement ceremony occured May 21 at the XL Center in Hartford. Graduates from Simsbury were Mackenzie Brower, Master of Science degree in Secondary Education; Breanna Chubb, Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies; Samantha Dell, Bachelor of Science degree in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management; Joseph Restaine, Bachelor of Arts degree in History; Danielle Romanelli, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology; Julian Santana, Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; and Daniel Straughn,Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.

- Kayla Greene, a member of the class of 2022 from Simsbury, has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.
SUNY Purchase College, Purchase NY
- Abigail Lang of Simsbury has been named to Purchase College's Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Lang is studying Language and Culture, Film and Linguistics, Literature. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs and 3.75 for Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Music Performance programs. They must take a minimum of 12 credits.
Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT
- Tunxis Community College in Farmington has announced the names of Simsbury students who qualified for the Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester. They are Samantha Chesanek, Tess Crystal, Alison Gentile, Ariana Lyons Chilton, Elmira Saadati Kalhori, Matthew Allen and Cedar Hewes. Students enrolled in a certificate or degree program who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher and have successfully completed 12 or more credits, or have earned 12 credits cumulatively over multiple semesters, are eligible for this academic honor.
