Peter Rabbit and Other Events in Simsbury

The next five days worth of hopping around town.

Simsburians are shedding their puffy coats and reacquainting themselves with spring yard clean up. In our pursuit of the ever elusive green lawn, we have a new plan of attack this year that involves large rented machines (an electric broom?), over seeding, and Greek fertility symbols. Please advise if you have any other ideas, as we try anything that is on the do-it-yourself spectrum.

Besides yard work, here are some happenings of note in the next five days about town:

Monday, April 11 – April is poetry month and Terrance Hayes, an award winning American poet and creative writing professor at Carnegie Mellon University, is coming to from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Werner Centennial Theater in the center of campus. Hayes recently won the National Book Award for Poetry for his poetry collection titled Lighthead (Penguin, 2010).
