Police Seeking Simsbury Bank Robber

A man robbed a People's Bank branch Monday morning, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury police are seeking a man who robbed a bank Monday morning and fled on foot.

At 10:58 a.m., police received a report of a robbery at People’s Bank at Stop & Shop at 498 Bushy Hill Road. The male suspect showed a note demanding money, and was given an unspecified amount of cash before leaving the bank on foot, Lt. Fred Sifodaskalakis said in a written statement.

No weapons were threatened, Sifodaskalakis said.

The man is described as a white male, about 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-9 inches tall, in his late 20s to early 30s with a dark full beard, wearing a black ski hat, black ski jacket and sunglasses.
