Possible Expansion of Money-Saving Natural Gas Service in Simsbury: Meeting Oct. 15

More natural gas may be coming to Simsbury, with much lower heating bills for more homes; find out more at the Selectmen's meeting Oct. 15.

At a meeting on Saturday,Oct. 15, Simsbury town selectmen will be listening to Connecticut Natural Gas explain how the natural gas utility might expand service in town, where two-thirds of homes and businesses already have gas service.

The Board of Selectmen has already posted a 30-page presentation on the town website from CNG about its services in town and how they might expand.

The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room of Town Hall, 933 Hopmeadow St. Here’s the agenda. The CNG presentation is near the top of the agenda. (You don’t have to go there to catch the meeting — you can watch it live or rebroadcasted on Comcast Channel 96, rebroadcast on AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and on-demand on www.simsburytv.org.

1. Click on “Natural Gas Locator”
2. Put in your town and address.
3. Confirm the house is yours.
4. A message appears with respect to your availability for natural gas.
