On May 17, 2014, the Simsbury Historical Society will be hosting spinners, weavers, knitters, and quilters for a day long event and exhibition entitled "The Fabric of Time." Keynote speaker will be Ed Johnetta Miller, internationally known quilt artist and Hartford resident, who will be joining us in partnership with the CT at Work initiative of Connecticut Humanities. The event will also feature demonstrations of knitting, quilting, spinning, and other heritage arts and crafts, as well as vendors. Hobbyists are invited to attend and also to bring their own work along to join in.
Vendor applications still being accepted, please contact Elaine Lang at SimsburyHistoricalSociety@gmail.com for more information. For more information on attending the event, please contact Elaine or call 860-658-2500.
