R&D Lab Among 17 New Businesses Registered In Simsbury In August

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury recorded 17 new business registrations in August, according to the Connecticut Business Registry. Residential landlords led the way with three filings, followed by management consultants and trucking and moving companies.

Shocking Innovations was one of the more distinctive filings — a research business — joined by Slice is Right, a sporting-goods store and Scudder Consultings Studios, an architecture firm. All but one organized as a limited liability company; the exception was a professional LLC.

Filing with the state and opening for business are separate steps, so some of these companies may not be serving customers yet. The full list, with addresses and business categories, is below.
