Remember To Attend Simsbury Library Memory Program Tuesday, Jan. 7
The Simsbury Public Library is hosting a program designed to help folks become 'memory athletes' and excel at remembering things.
SIMSBURY, CT — If you're looking to develop a photographic memory or, simply, want to stop forgetting where you put your car keys, an upcoming Simsbury Public Library event is for you.
The library, located at 725 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, is hosting Dr. Wendy Hurwitz for a program called "Memory Tips," where she will help participants develop their brains and improve memory.
It will take place Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with residents of Simsbury and other area towns invited to the free program.

The program will look at what so-called "memory athletes," people who excel in memory games and competitions, do to prepare.
"Did you know that a recent study from Stanford University suggests that the techniques used by memory athletes can be taught, learned, and create changes in the brain that enhance memory skill?" reads an event announcement.

A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, Hurwitz is a nationally recognized expert on stress.
A former medical researcher for ABC News, Hurwitz is an expert in two fields: mind/body medicine and energy medicine. She has a forthcoming book on stress.
She helps organizations and individuals achieve peak performance by enhancing vitality and wellness.
