Renee Cafasso, Simsbury Volunteer Firefighter Completes Firefighter I Course

Firefighter Renee Cafasso, Firetown station, of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, has been certified Firefighter I by the State of Connecticut.

The 160-hour course covers fire suppression, breathing apparatus, search and rescue, ladders, ropes, hydrant hook-up, and salvage and overhaul. The class prepares students to become on-line firefighters, trained in all phases of fire suppression.
