Report: Simsbury Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Bristol
Michael Van Valkenburgh, 40, was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the street, according to the report.

A 40-year-old Simsbury man on a motorcycle was injured Monday night in a crash with two other cars in Bristol, according to a report on the NBC Connecticut website.
Michael Cheever Van Valkenburgh, 40, of Simsbury was found unconscious at the scene of the crash near the intersection of Jerome Avenue and Stevens Street, the report said.
Van Valkenburgh’s condition was last listed as “serious” at a Hartford area hospital, where he was treated for head and leg injuries, according to the report, which relied on statements from Bristol police.

Van Valkenburgh was said to have been traveling north on Jerome Avenue on a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle when his vehicle came into contact with with a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by a 71-year-old man turning left from the southbound side of Jerome Avenue onto Stevens Street.
Van Valkenburgh was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the street.
