Road Cleared After Tree Falls On Wires In Simsbury: Update

The road reopened later in the afternoon.

SIMSBURY, CT — A blustery, windy day in Connecticut caused havoc in Simsbury Wednesday as a section of state roadway was closed due to a tree in the wires, but it has now reopened.

According to the state Department of Transportation, Route 185 in Simsbury was closed due to the situation, which was at Nod Road.

The incident was first reported at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday and it was reported cleared at about 3:45 p.m.
