SIMSBURY, CT — Local police and recreation officials are asking for the public's help in determining who dumped a disgusting amount of garbage in the middle of a beloved local park.

The Simsbury Culture, Parks & Recreation Department posted a disturbing video Tuesday of piles of trash dumped at the town's Pinchot Sycamore Tree Park over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The park is located below the Route 185 bridge and serves as the home of the Pinchot Sycamore Tree, which happens to be the oldest such tree in the state and serves as the town symbol of Simsbury.
