Several Simsbury Roads To Be Impacted By Water Main Work
The water company plans water main work on seven Simsbury roads from April to October, with delays expected.
SIMSBURY, CT — Aquarion Water Co. will begin replacing water mains on seven Simsbury roads in April as part of a broader effort to upgrade its distribution system, according to an announcement from the town.
Work will take place on Richard Road, Cornfield Road, Fox Den Road, Shady Lane, Country Club Drive, Cedar Hill Road, and Farms Village Road.
Construction on Richard Road and Cornfield Road is scheduled to start in April and finish by June.

Work on the remaining five roads—Fox Den Road, Shady Lane, Country Club Drive, Cedar Hill Road, and Farms Village Road—is expected to run from April through October.
The project will replace about 12,300 feet of water main, Aquarion said.

D&G Contractors Inc. of Plainville will serve as the contractor.
Work hours are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and residents should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during that time.
Aquarion representatives said they will work with residents and businesses to minimize disruptions.
To communicate updates, Aquarion uses the Everbridge notification system to alert affected customers about scheduled and unscheduled work.
