The Simsbury High School Treble Choir, under the direction of Director of Choirs Colleen Thompson, performed on March 29 in the “Festival of Women’s Voices.” Organized by the West Hartford Women’s Chorale, the festival featured five women’s choirs: the WH Chorale, the SHS Treble Choir, Another Octave, Hall High School’s Voce di Coeli and the Glastonbury High Treble Choir. “It was a wonderful performance opportunity for the members of the high school Treble Choir,” said Mrs. Thompson, “not only in terms of singing, but also listening and learning from other choirs.” The concert benefited My Sister’s Place, a shelter for homeless women and children.
