Simsbury Announces Labor Day Impacts

SIMSBURY, CT — Town officials Thursday reminded residents of several Labor Day holiday impacts coming up during the unofficial last weekend of the summer season.

In addition to schools being closed for classes, which started in Simsbury Thursday, Sept. 1, the following locations will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day:

• Simsbury Town Hall - 933 Hopmeadow St.

• Eno Memorial Hall - 754 Hopmeadow St.

• Simsbury Public Library - 725 Hopmeadow St.

The Simsbury Farms Golf Course will be open for players to play, but the administrative offices will be closed.

Meanwhile, residential trash hauling will operate on a modified schedule:

• For Paine’s customers, all pickups will be one day late.

• For All Waste customers, the days following the holiday will operate one day behind.
