Simsbury Authorities Investigating Series of Fires
Some small fires involving garbage barrels and mailboxes are under investigation, fire officials say.

SIMSBURY, CT — A series of recent fires in town is being investigated by Simsbury police and the fire marshal's office.
The most recent incidents took place July 27 and 28, when some residential garbage barrels were destroyed by fire on Crestview Road in Tariffville, Pinnacle Mountain Road and Holcomb Street during the late evening through the early morning hours, the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Department posted on its Facebook page.
On July 18 and again on July 25, a mailbox was damaged by fire on Tollgate Lane.

Police and fire officials are working with Canton authorities as well, due to similar occurrences in that neighboring town.
