The Simsbury Auxiliary of The Village for Families & Children has outdone itself!

The Simsbury Auxiliary of The Village for Families & Children has outdone itself! This year, the completely volunteer-run Auxiliary contributed $118,000 to The Village through sales at its Second Chance Shop, the largest contribution in the Auxiliary’s history.
For more than half a century, the Simsbury Auxiliary has been supporting The Village's programs that build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.
The Village provides a full range of children's behavioral health treatment, foster care and adoption, and community support services for children and their families in the Greater Hartford region, serving over 8,300 clients each year.

The Auxiliary supports this life-changing work by selling new and gently used clothes, accessories, antiques and collectibles, toys, and household items in its Second Chance Shop. The shop is run by about 90 volunteers.
The three Village Auxiliaries in Glastonbury, Simsbury and Suffield contributed a combined total of more than $279,000 to The Village this year, and over $4.5 million over the past two and half decades.
