Simsbury Boys and Girls Headed to Lacrosse Tournament

Both Trojan teams will be playing in Class L tournament qualifying matches on the road.

SIMSBURY, CT — Both the girls and boys lacrosse teams from Simsbury High School will begin quests for their first state championships this weekend, in the qualifying round of the CIAC state tournament.

The girls, seeded 17th in Class L, travel to Westport to face No. 16 Staples Friday, while the 18th-seeded boys visit No. 15 Cheshire Saturday in Class L qualifying.

Darien is the top Class L seed in both the girls and boys divisions. New Fairfield (M) and St. Paul (S) are seeded first in the boys divisions, while Daniel Hand (M) and North Branford (S) hold the top spots for the girls.
