Simsbury Boys Hockey Gets Back into Weekly Rankings
A recent hot stretch has earned the Trojans some voter support this week.

SIMSBURY, CT — An up-and-down season took another upturn this week for the boys ice hockey team at Simsbury High School, which earned some votes in the weekly poll of coaches and media members.
The Trojans (7-8-1) are currently ranked eighth in the Division I tournament seedings after winning of their last four outings, including recent victories over a pair of teams currently ranked higher: Northwest Catholic and Hamden. Simsbury is idle until hitting the road to face Farmington Valley Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Avon Old Farms.
Fairfield Prep (13-0) continues to dominate the poll, earning the top position on all 15 ballots.

- Ridgefield (11-2)
- Xavier (10-5)
- Notre Dame-West Haven (9-5)
- Greenwich (12-2)
- Hamden (9-5)
- New Fairfield/Immaculate (8-2-2)
- Farmington Valley (13-1)
- Notre Dame-Fairfield (8-5)
- Watertown/Pomperaug (11-1-1)
Also receiving votes: Northwest Catholic (6-7-1), New Canaan (6-8), Simsbury (7-8-1), Conard (8-5).
