Simsbury Boys Inching Closer to Top 10 Hoop Spot

The Trojans won their first five outings this season to generate considerable support in the latest weekly poll.

SIMSBURY, CT — A five-game winning streak to open the season has lifted the boys basketball team from Simsbury High School into sniffing range of the top 10 of the weekly poll of media members.

The Trojans (5-0) finished two spots out of the top 10, but gained a considerable amount of support from voters from the previous week.

East Catholic (7-0) received all 19 first-place votes to maintain its position atop the rankings.
