I started playing in 4th grade, a little later than most Simsbury players.

Coach Swan. I was playing attack at the time, and Coach Swan pulled me aside and told me I was meant to play defense. He gave me the confidence I needed to try. He then stuck with me, he coached me after every play, he gave me good game strategy advice, and he was a very positive motivator.

Making the Varsity lacrosse team as a Freshman, and being named All Conference in my Sophmore year.

Advice for new lacrosse players:
Scoring isn't everything, being a good teammate is most important. And specifically for defensive players, never leave your goalie -- protect your goalie at all times.
Aspirations to play lacrosse in the future: I will be playing at Wheaton College next year.
Random fact about yourself: I have been playing lacrosse for eight years with goalie, Colin Walsh. We played together in Simsbury Youth Lacrosse, summers for CT Yale Bulldogs, and most recently Simsbury High School. We are both headed to Wheaton College to continue playing lacrosse together.
