Simsbury To Be Transformed Into Holiday Wonderland
Simsbury's official holiday celebration will also include a fireworks show.
SIMSBURY, CT — The Town of Simsbury's official holiday celebration will lend a festive atmosphere to the Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday as the Christmas season is officially kicked off.
The Simsbury Celebrates Planning Committee and the Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation Department will host "Simsbury Celebrates! Presented by UCONN Health," a community holiday celebration on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and will be held along Hopmeadow Street from Plank Hill to Drake Hill Roads.
This section of Hopmeadow Street will be closed to vehicular traffic until 8 p.m.

Residents of Library Lane and the Heritage Glen Condominium Complex will be able to access their neighborhood through Wilcox Street during the event hours.
The event includes indoor and outdoor family entertainment, inflatable amusements for children, pictures with Santa, a magical holiday lit firetruck parade and a spectacular fireworks show from the Simsbury Meadows fields at approximately 8:15 p.m. to conclude the event.
The fireworks show is expected to last approximately 15 minutes.
Please be advised that for safety reasons, any shells that do not go off during the fireworks show as planned must be released. This would occur within approximately 30-40 minutes after the conclusion of the show.
This event is free to all and there will be food available for purchase from many local organizations and restaurants.
Event attendees are encouraged to park in the Iron Horse Boulevard commuter parking lots, the Simsbury Town Hall parking area and at Simsbury Meadows.
