Simsbury College Students Achieve Campus Milestones

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Fort Lewis College, Durango CO

• Samuel Drees, of West Simsbury, graduated from Fort Lewis College in April 2019. Drees graduated with a degree in Business Administration - Tour and Hospitality Management. More than 400 students participated in the spring Commencement ceremony.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• At the University of Rhode Island's 133rd Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2019, about 3,400 undergraduate and 740 graduate students became the University's newest alumni. Graduates from Simsbury were Jessica Christine Ouellette, Bachelor of Arts Communication Studies Cum Laude; John Sacala, Bachelor of Arts Communication Studies; Emily Camille Sacala, Bachelor of Arts Psychology and Bachelor of Arts Elementary Education Magna Cum Laude; and Nick Peter Snow, Bachelor of Arts Psychology Magna Cum Laude. Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
