Simsbury Crew Finishes Strong at the Exeter Invitational
The Simsbury High School rowers competed in the Exeter Invitational
The Simsbury High School raced four varsity boats, two each from the boys and girls teams, in the Exeter Invitational on Saturday, April 21. The crews had great races in spite of a steady cross tailwind and finished strong amid the competition. Out of six competing teams, the first boys boat came in third while the first girls came in fourth separated only by 0.4 second from Boston Latin in a tight finish. Both second boats finished their races in fourth place. Exeter won all four of the races. The 1500-meter race took place at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts. The crews return to this venue on Saturday to race in the Quinsigamond Cup.
