Simsbury Crew Participates in the Exeter Invitational Regatta

The Simsbury Crew traveled back to Lake Quinsigamond, in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday 22 April, to compete in the Exeter Invitational. They raced against 6 other schools: Exeter, Shrewsbury, Hingham, Kent, Boston Latin and St Johns.

The day was overcast and cool, with a light crosswind. The Simsbury Crew boats rowed the 1.5 km course with determination, despite some delays with the first few races starts. The girl's 3rd boat came in 5th place, the girl's 2nd boat also claimed the 5th spot and the girl's 1st boat achieved 4th place. The boy's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd boats all took 5th place in each of their respective races. The boy's 4th boat came in 6th.

On Saturday, 29 April, the Simsbury Crew, will travel back to Lake Quinsigamond to participate in the annual Quinsigamond Regatta, better known as the “Q Cup”, which the Simsbury 1st boys won last year.
