Simsbury Crew Team Holds Annual Erg-A-Thon

Rowing for dollars is nothing new to the Simsbury High School crew team. Each year the athletes seek pledges and donations as part of the team's annual 'Erg-A-Thon,' which raises funds for a variety of activities throughout the season. The 'ergs' are the rowing machines that the team uses for training and strengthening. The Erg-A-Thon took place at the team's boathouse on Sunday, September 24, and was combined with a family cook-out, the christening of the latest boat, called 'The Ironhorse,' and announcement of the team captains.
