Simsbury Crew Volunteer their Help at the Annual Book Sale.

On Thursday, 12 September, Simsbury Crew athletes, in an awesome display of community spirit and teamwork, joined forces to support the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library in setting up their annual Giant Used Book Sale. This much-anticipated event, which took place this past weekend, serves as a crucial fundraiser for the library.

Throughout the summer, the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library diligently collected used books, puzzles, games, CDs, and DVDs from the local community, packing them into boxes for transport. With determination and much comradeship, the Crew athletes tirelessly loaded several truckloads of boxes at the Simsbury Public Library, then unloaded them at Simsbury High School. Their efforts directly contributed to the success of the book sale, which, in turn, funds essential services, programs, and activities provided by the library.

This year marks the 37th consecutive year of Simsbury Crew's involvement in this community event. Their ongoing commitment exemplifies the power of unity and volunteerism and their dedication to Simsbury's vibrant community spirit.
