Simsbury To Dedicate New Food Pantry
Simsbury officials will cut the ribbon on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the town's new food pantry location, which will help local food insecurity.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury community will gather late Thursday afternoon to officially open the town's new food pantry location.
Recently, Simsbury Social Services moved the pantry to a new-and-improved site at the First Church of Christ in Simsbury, located at 689 Hopmeadow St.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, local officials — including Simsbury First Selectman Wendy Mackstutis, Simsbury Town Manager Marc Nelson, and Simsbury Community and Social Services Director Kristen Formanek — will cut the ribbon on the new pantry.

They will be joined the the Rev. George Harris of the First Church of Christ for the event, which will take place at 4 p.m.
Members of the public are invited to attend and, perhaps, make a donation.

Simsbury's food pantry is designed to help residents in need overcome both short- and long-term bouts of food insecurity.
