Simsbury Driver Escapes Serious Injury in Fatal Crash

A driver was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A 43-year-old Manchester woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash involving a UPS tractor-trailer on Wednesday evening on a busy state road in East Granby, according to state police.

The crash on Route 20 was reported at 6 p.m.

Lynn Lamson was killed when her Nissan Rogue hit a minivan and then was hit by a tractor-trailer, according to state police.

The driver of the van was identified as William Parsons, 76, of Simsbury. The truck was being driven by 61-year-old Derrick Grey of Ellington, according to a state police crash report.

No other injuries were reported, but those involved were taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center for evaluation, according to state police.
