Former Simsbury resident Christopher Cabrera, a registered independent voter who recently moved from New Hampshire to East Windsor, told Patch he "almost didn't vote for president."
"I'm definitely conflicted in my views, but I believe it is most beneficial to really start from the ground up - local jobs, local economy, small business," Cabrera said. "From the state level, that's how we're going to build up to the New England and national levels. That's really how we're going to have our businesses thrive. Right now, I'm more apromoter of less taxes and less regulation - let's help the average person, not the big companies."
For United States Senate, the candidates are Democratic incumbent Richard Blumenthal, Republican Dan Carter, Libertarian Richard Lion and Green Party Jeffery Russell.
For United States Congress, the choice is between Democratic incumbent Elizabeth Esty and Republican challenger Clay Cope.
